It is amazing to note that the invention of the computer was conceived over a hundred years before the first working computer that we know today. According to the class lecture, Charles Babbage began thinking and writing about a machine that could compute data; that is pretty much what a computer does today. The computer that we use today computes various 0s and 1s to output what we, the user, want the machine to do. I found it interesting that World War II lead to the invention of better and smaller computers, without the war the current computer that we use would have been invented later or not at all. With more interest in computers, it developed into a machine that everyone can use not just big corporations or people with money. Because of computers we can communicate with people all over the world in seconds. Developing more interest into this machines will allow faster and better computers to be invented.
